Key information about this service
We provide support and care for patients with a terminal illness, who are nearing the end of their lives.
Our end of life vision is to achieve excellent, proactive, responsive, personalised, and equitable palliative and end of life care for the people of Dorset and those important to them.
We will make sure the patient is as comfortable as possible, in the place of their choice where possible, by relieving pain and other distressing symptoms. We also provide psychological, social and spiritual support for the patient and their family and/or carers.
End of life care and support is available seven days a week, across Dorset. Care is provided in patients' homes and in our community hospitals.
