A guide to your insoles
Instructional video on fitting ankle foot orthoses (AFO) to yourself or someone else.
We recommend that you wear a long cotton sock that is close fitting, to avoid any wrinkles but not tight so that it leaves marks. AFOs should only be worn with footwear and never on their own.

- scissors
- pen/felt tip permanent marker.
Please watch the video fully. To help you with the measuring and fitting your insoles, before you start to cut your insoles, measure twice and cut once. Once the insole has been cut, it cannot be changed.
What to look for when buying a pair of shoes.
Always have your feet measured, as feet change, get bigger or smaller as we age. Different brands are vary in sizes. For example you could be a size 6 in one brand and a size 6.5 in another. It is important to buy shoes that fit you correctly to keep your feet healthy.

We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes and socks that can easily be donned with the plate hook. Always follow the guidance of your orthotist or physiotherapist regarding the use of this ankle brace
